Jean-François Blondin is a Canadian painter and photographer born in 1969 and living in Nicolet, Quebec. Graduated in Visual Arts at the University of Quebec in Montreal in 2001, he has developed over the years a rigorously personal artistic approach, based on an exploration of space.
His technique of aesthetic investigation unfolds through different mediums, such as painting, photography and 3D modelling. Jean-François Blondin arranges simple or complex, abstract or figurative forms, in such a way as to offer new, unparalleled possibilities of contemplation. The coherent landscapes he creates sometimes seem subtly haunted by fragments of dreams, other times he plunges us into geometric hallucinations or trompe-l'oeil which confuse both real and virtual matter. This unique vision offers the mind a perspective that bears witness to the historical contribution of architecture and mathematics.
As a conceptual artist, Jean-François Blondin does not limit himself to physical space, but also expands into virtual space. He thus creates works that transcend reality to reach a timeless dimension.
Jean-François Blondin is an artist in his own right, who has developed a unique and fascinating artistic vision. His approach, which explores space in all its forms, offers a fresh look at artistic creation and invites the viewer to limitless contemplation.
