Jean-Baptiste Bucau, the artist photographer, has had an intimate relationship with photography for as long as he can remember. She was always there, a faithful companion in the twists and turns of his life. He and photography held each other closely, sometimes apart, but never really separated. Today they found each other again.

His way of photographing is imbued with spontaneity, movement, sensation. He likes to capture the immediacy of the moment, launching himself without preconceptions, hoping for everything, dreaming of beautiful, crazy, insane discoveries. Why not believe it and wish yourself the best?

Jean-Baptiste Bucau is a stroller, a dreamer, with an insatiable thirst for exploration. He goes on adventures, sometimes without knowing where he is going, but with the hope of finding something special. He walks with his head in the clouds, his feet on the ground, always in search of future skies, lights, intensities.

Photography for him is a quest for proximity. He needs to feel the presence of people, cities, situations. He runs after this excitement linked to the approach, to the imminent encounter. Humans are his favorite subject, particularly humans in the street. He likes to reveal the moving human geography of cities, capturing the movements and energies in circulation.

Her desire to capture the momentum of movement stems in part from her early immersion in the world of dance. Since then, he has never stopped looking for these moments of flight, of push, of transport that make him vibrate deep within himself.

For Jean-Baptiste Bucau, photography is much more than a simple means of expression, it is a way of existing to the fullest, of intensely experiencing each moment, each encounter, each movement. It is a passion that drives him and pushes him to constantly explore the nooks and crannies of humanity and urban life, in search of those precious moments that tell unique and ephemeral stories.
