Curious about what surrounds me since always, I seek to put on paper or on canvas the beauty of things, of life, of nature. The light, the colors, the atmosphere of the moment...Often a photo first, several photos and then it's the personal interpretation.
According to the subject that I wish to paint I choose the technique and the medium which best brings out the subject. I don't lock myself into a style, it's according to the desire of the moment.
My father drew a lot and I, so to speak, inherited his stroke of the pencil and his vision of things. A little baby bird, a small abandoned cabin, an old mill, a bouquet of flowers, landscapes as far as the eye can see....everything can be interesting to convey on paper or a canvas.
I I took fine arts courses in Rennes between 1995 and 1997. I also tried on my own to learn always and again! I started selling my work in 2018 following a group exhibition. During the Covid19 years I had time to paint a lot of paintings.
Always passionate....I also like the idea of being able to change the way things look. background, the location of the subjects, the choice of colors... It's sometimes a bit of a long search before getting started. Once in front of your paper or canvas, you no longer think about anything...The joy of drawing and painting!
