Irina CONDE is a Guinean artist of Russian origin. Married to a Guinean, she has lived in Guinea for more than 30 years, where she arrived after obtaining her diploma at the Higher Institute of Cinema in Moscow, Cartoons section. Due to a lack of funding for film projects, she turned to painting and adapted to her new environment, so much so that she became a “true Guinean artist”. This is how she began to paint scenes of daily life and characters from her adopted country, in particular Guinean women whom she found very beautiful and elegant. Irina expresses herself in different artistic styles, from the real to the abstract, including the figurative and the conceptual. She is one of the main artists in Guinea and directs the Association of Visual Artists of Guinea. She is also a professor of plastic arts at the Higher Institute of Arts of Guinea (ISAG). Irina exhibits her works both in Guinea and abroad. She is one of the main collaborators of Galerie Sunjata Créations.
