Irena Podolak was born in Krakow Poland.. Raised in a home where art was everyday life, in the studio of her father, a painter and sculptor. Graduated from various art school and worked in different art studios .Member of the Association of Polish Artists in Opole. Since 2016, she has been running her own art studio in Krakow's Kazimierz district, where various artists visit, interesting projects are created, as well as meetings with art for children and teenagers.
The owner of a complex personality, therefore she is constantly searching for the truth in the surrounding world, painting, sculpture and visual arts. Since 2013, she has also been painting icons, recovering old wood, processing it and then trying to show images of saints according to her own rules. It is a painting inspired by folk art that remembers tradition. An important element for the painter is that these images are not duplicated.
Easel painting is a search for modernity, avant-garde, a separate language of expression. The search for space and purity. The main topic is man, his essence and spirituality, showing emotions, the genesis of behavior, the interpretation of identity, encouraging reflection. The second important topic for the artist is animals, protection their lives and well-being. Abstract painting, mainly acrylic, using painting palette knives and brushes. The artist moves freely in all painting media.
