Roman Proniaev is a contemporary Russian painter based in France. His paintings exhibit a geometric abstraction with a play of transparencies and material effects. Proniaev uses different materials, including canvas, paper, wood, plaster, oil paint, and acrylic. His artwork blends motion and stillness, abstract shapes and real-world objects, and blurs the line between the visible and invisible.
Because of his inherent sense of accuracy and detail, his art is outstanding due to the obvious simplicity and purity of the forms he creates. His paintings' abstract nature makes them more similar to several modernist movements of today.
Roman Proniaev was born in 1972, in Russia, where he graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Voronezh. He exhibited his works in France, Croatia, Bulgaria and Serbia.
