Dessins à l'encre pigment noir.
Texte Fr + English

Across Provence, the vineyards stretch as far as the eye can see, arranged like battalions facing the cardinal points. They descend the hills from young plants to mature pillars sometimes hundred years old in geometric patterns.

The relationship between man and vine is historic. This rich and incomparable heritage has always been the pride of a region.
The vines are cut in a ritual way that generates twists, knots and eyelets as they grow.

Each vine showcases a torn rough bark with organic shapes and human postures. In the winter we feel it suffer stripped and calls to our compassion to endeavour that it will flourish again.

This series of drawings describes the individual features of vines that are marked by climatic and traditional cycles.
