La contemporaneidad onírica y mitológica de Héctor Acevedo
Figuras de portada, corredores homologados y máscaras de todo tipo, desfilan sobre los lienzos que el artista Héctor Acevedo crea de manera hábil y original.
Sus figuras en primer plano se suceden en las obras del artista y parecen tener una personalidad bien definida y poderosa, combinada con la intensidad de los colores que crean fondos oníricos y fantásticos, creando ambientes surrealistas con proyección a la realidad contemporánea.
Los personajes presentes en las espléndidas obras de Héctor Acevedo son personajes mitológicos, figuras anónimas, que pasan a formar parte de un hipotético. Las figuras femeninas y masculinas, que tienen una clara inspiración en los maestros clásicos, Botticelli, Bronzino y los manieristas Pontormo y Rosso Fiorentino, parecen atraídas y ocupadas con movimientos vertiginosos y giratorios creados por fuerzas aparentemente irreconocibles que invaden e influyen en nuestras existencias.

Los lienzos admirablemente creados por Héctor contienen elementos que recuerdan al clasicismo, Arianne, velos, figuras animales y antropoformes, de esta manera el artista nos catapulta a un escenario hecho de exageraciones y eventos carnavalescos, que tienen el toque y la armonía de las corrientes artísticas clásicas.

Héctor Acevedo is an award-winning contemporary Peruvian artist. Simultaneously, he studied civil engineering, painting and drawing. Both careers require extremely specific work and possibly provide the aspiring artist with different ideas about life. In the midst of a difficult choice between the requirements of engineering studies and the essential devotion to art, Acevedo opts for the practice of fine arts, where he discovers his true vocation and finds his personal fulfillment.
He received numerous honorable mentions and awards for his works, including First Prize at the XIV Florence Biennial with Scan Art 2023 in Italy; the First Prize at the V International Biennial of Argentina 2022 in Buenos Aires; the Fourth Prize at the XIII Florence Biennale 2021 in Italy; the Certificate of Recognition for the Best Performance 2020 “Art of Being Alone” in New York, USA; and Honorable mention in the “XVII Valdepeñas Contest”. Spring Hall for the lands of Castilla de la Mancha of the Municipal Museum of Valdepeñas, Spain among other honorable mentions in national and international competitions.
Héctor Acevedo was born in 1963, in Lima, Peru, where he graduated from the National School of Fine Arts of Peru. He exhibited his works in Peru, USA, Belgium, Spain, Italy and other European countries. Acevedo lives and works in Spain.
