The oil impasto technique is a set of techniques for painting with dense, covering strokes using a palette knife. This technique achieves relief of the brushstroke, enhancing the light and shadow effects and texture of the painting; it made it possible to achieve a rich texture in the painting.
Before the war, Tanya and I managed to visit Berchtesgaden National Park and climb to the top of Kehlstein Mountain (Jenner Mountain), on which the well-known Kehlsteinhaus (Eagle's Nest) is located. From there you have an amazing view of the Royal Lake (Königssee) and the Watzmann Mountain. The lake is surrounded on all sides by beautiful Alpine mountains.
This painting, like all my paintings, is individual, I paint only what I saw personally (I never duplicate my artworks, I don't make copies from other people's paintings).
The side edges of the painting are painted, so it can be hung with or without a frame.
