The sculpture 'La metaporfosi di Dafne' is handmade by visual artist Godfried Dols (*1958), Netherlands, from an exceptional quality Italian Arabescato marble with a base stone made of Nero Arquinia marble.

The making of: As a first step, the sculpture was modeled in clay in the artist's studio in the Netherlands in Februari 2023. This clay model has been used as a reference for sculpting in marble. The sculpture was realized in the June 2023 in Pietrasanta, Italy. The image is signed by the artist at the bottom of the sculpture (name, logo, year).

The sculpture is attached to the base stone by means of a bronze bush and stainless steel pin. It is possible to disconnect the sculpture and the base stone from each other to enable safe transportation. It is necessary to use a lifting device for (dis)assembly. The mounting and placement of the sculpture at the final exhibition location must be done by, or under the supervision of, the artist himself.
