Aussi loin que je me souvienne j’ai cherché le support adéquat à un processus créatif….
A mon père qui m’avait demandé ce que je voulais faire de ma vie j’avais répondu écrivain. Un préalable est d’avoir quelque chose à dire m’avait-il rétorqué !
De nombreuses années après avoir accumulé la matière première source d’inspiration, j’ai réalisé que le bon support n’était plus les mots mais les couleurs !
La peinture est pour moi le moyen de distraire le regard sans autre but que de laisser l’esprit vagabonder dans une histoire, un décor.
Mes compositions sont une narration suggérée. Mon style réaliste avec un choix de couleurs limité est au service du sujet. Je laisse le mélange des pigments sur un support mouillé créer naturellement des nuances de lumière, alléger le détail des compositions.

To my father who had asked me what I wanted to do with my life I had answered writer. A prerequisite is to have something to say, he said!
Many years after having accumulated the raw material source of inspiration, I realized that the good support was no longer words but colors!
Painting is for me the means to distract the eye with no other goal than to let the mind wander in a story, a setting.
My compositions are a suggested narration. My realistic style with a limited choice of colors serves the subject. I let the mixture of pigments on a wet support create naturally shades of light, lightening the detail of designs.
