Gilles Larbi, also known under the artist name Gil.L, is a self-taught professional photographer born in 1958 and living in Brittany, in Plérin. Since 1991, he has worked as a photographer as an illustrator for the magazine press, publishing and advertising, highlighting his visual talent and creativity.

However, Gilles Larbi does not limit himself to photography. Since 1999, he has also devoted himself to artistic research exploring the body, dance and landscape through innovative digital work. He merges photography with elements of painting to create images that evolve from photographic reality towards more abstract and dreamlike compositions. This unique artistic approach allows him to explore new visual dimensions and capture deep emotions through his works.

As a painter, Gilles Larbi moves from the concrete to the abstract, embracing a colorist and spontaneous approach.
