40 x 40 x 1.5 inches large original semi abstract oil painting of an autumn woodland landscape. It is art nouveau and whimsical in style and hints at trees and forests and waterfalls and other slightly mystical elements. A group of 4 deer, a stag and three doe's stand to one side looking at us and waiting. Deer are often represented in folklore as spiritual guides and it is easy to see why. They have the ability to appear and then vanish again very easily. I often paint these 4 deer and hope to meet them one day. It was inspired after a walk around Forest Row where I live. Forest Row and the Ashdown Forest does not look like this but a few tweaks and abstract ministrations here and then can make it so. Painted on deep edge canvas - edges white, no frame needed.

Gill Bustamante, a contemporary British painter, is renowned for her distinctive artistry that breathes life into large semi-abstract oils on canvas, drawing inspiration from the wonders of nature. Specializing in creating expansive semi-abstract landscape, seascape, and wildlife paintings, Gill has carved out a unique style that seamlessly blends art-nouveau, impressionist, and semi-abstract techniques with a touch of traditional portraiture. Her artistic vision is deeply rooted in a profound love for nature, animals, birds, and the rich flora and fauna that grace the landscapes surrounding her.

Central to Gill's creative process is a method she terms 'memory impressionism.' This approach involves immersing herself in nature, going for walks to observe and absorb the essence of the landscapes, and then returning to her studio to translate those experiences onto canvas. The result is a collection of artworks that capture the echoes and essences of the places she explores, often including the wildlife encountered during her walks. This distinctive method allows Gill to convey the feelings and impressions she has about these locations, offering viewers a glimpse into the profound connection she shares with the natural world. Gill Bustamante's artistic focus extends to the ancient landscapes of England, and her paintings frequently reflect the spiritual elements inherent in such revered locales.
