Giacomo Bertolino è nato a Palermo nel 1965 .Metal Artist e scultore bricoleur, realizza opere d'arte in ferro tramite assemblaggio , saldatura e forgiatura di materiali di scarto , rottami metallici ed oggetti in disuso che diventano le fondamenta che innescano i processi creativi grazie ai quali prendono forma le sue particolari sculture Autodidatta , ama definirsi " inventore " nel senso latino del termine , ovvero "colui che ritrova , ricrea ,arrangia "- nello specifico oggetti e materiali metallici di scarto – attraverso l'immaginazione ed il pensiero analogico. Nel riadattare oggetti in disuso in contesti diversi da quelli di origine ,concede a questi -come bricoleur di Lévi-straussiana memoria -una nuova vita ed una inedita configurazione senza stravolgere l'identità e la riconoscibilità -facendone cosi' anche simboli di una criticità contro l'estenuante produzione industriale e il dilagante consumismo di massa . La sua continua ricerca artistica lo ha condotto nel corso del tempo a sperimentare per le sue sculture diversi materiali – legno-cemento- rame e tecniche – pittura con fiamma su lastre di rame . Ha partecipato a diverse mostre collettive e manifestazioni nazionali.
