Les parois abruptes du canyon, sculptées par le temps, sont brièvement illuminées par des lumières en mouvement rapide. Ces éclats lumineux créent des traînées dynamiques qui parcourent les murs rocheux, projetant des ombres dansantes et des reflets vibrants sur la surface lisse et obscure de l'eau. L'effet de lumière amplifie la profondeur et la grandeur du canyon, transformant le lieu en un théâtre d’énergie et de mystère.
Au loin, un arc électrique bleu fend l’obscurité avec discrétion. Sa lumière froide et intense contraste avec la teinte chaude d'une boule de feu rouge qui semble émerger et se diriger vers le premier plan. Cette sphère lumineuse, incandescente et menaçante, laisse dans son sillage une lueur rougeâtre qui teinte les roches environnantes et donne l'impression d'une force en mouvement, presque vivante.
La composition dégage une tension palpable, mêlant des éléments naturels à des phénomènes lumineux quasi surnaturels. Le contraste entre les couleurs froides et chaudes, associé à la dynamique des lumières, confère à la scène une ambiance futuriste et fantastique, où le spectateur est plongé dans un décor à la fois majestueux et déroutant.

Gaspard de Gouges lives and works in the Gard, between Montpellier and Marseille (France). He is a graduate of the National School of Decorative Arts in Paris. In the early 2000s, he began to paint large format figurative canvases, group portraits. Since 2021 he has devoted himself to photography, which has become a game for him, a kind of motionless journey.
"I started photographing scenes when I was 10 years old, with very realistic toys and models that I built with stalks of dry grass, miniature vehicles. For a long time I wanted to photograph islands, to their dreamlike power, I love to travel there and their memory persists. Their existence plunges us into an elsewhere. I imagined them tropical, but it is on mineral and Mediterranean islands that I finally decided to evoke. My approach is to create stagings, artificial but plausible, realistic landscapes. I create imaginary worlds, sometimes containing ruins, at least rocks that sometimes make me think of fortresses. These landscapes surprise me and always give me a lot of pleasure to create. "
