Carpet "Pazirik" It was found during the archaeological excavations of the fifth Pazirik Mound on the Ulagan plateau of the Eastern Altai. Russia was found a rich burial, like the other mounds of the Pazyryk culture, with traces of looting.
Among the best finds in the Fifth Pazyryk Barrow was a well-preserved knotty pile carpet.
The number of Pazyryk carpet nodes per 1 dm? is 3600, which is a high index.
The number of warp yarns is about 120 by 1 dm.
The total number of nodules in the Pazyryk carpet is over 1125,000.
The thickness of this carpet is 2.4 mm
After the discovery, S. Rudenko was carried out a thorough stylistic and artistic analysis of the carpet.
It is said that the Pazyryk carpet was not created in the Altai, but has a front Asian or Central Asian origin.
This carpet is Persian or Parthian, and may Urartian at any rate it is medium- or pre-Asiatic, its dating of the 5th century. BC.
I recreated this Carpet in 2014
I was born in 1959 in the city of Kirovakan, Armenian SSR and in 1985 owing to the military service moved to Saint Petersburg, Russia. I worked on a synthetic fibre plant, participated in liquidation of nuclear power plant accident in Chernobyl wherefore was awarded by medal for lifesaving. I was into painting since my childhood but started to do it professionally in 2007 dedicating all my time to this passion. I paint according to my spirit without adhering to any certain style.
In 2012 the Union of Russian Artists organized my personal exhibition on the subject "Revival of Armenia".
That same year the Museum of Everything bought my 13 works.
In 2015 I participated in exhibition "Window to France. Norman Form" in the city of Fourges, France.
On 9 May, 2016 I exhibited my works in Saint Petersburg Artists Union Exhibition Centre on the show commemorated to the Victory Day.
