Apart from realism in showing detail, I aim to add something extra from the character of the individual, to make the painting come alive!


When I first meet my future subject , I try to gain a precise impression of their character. It is a challenge to capture and show the moment, the look, the personality which is the dominant feature of the subject.
Apart from displaying the subject from the best perspective, I aim to show their personality by lighting, colours, moods, settings, real and artistic techniques.


If the personal meeting is impossible from any reason,it is admissible to paint also only from photo. It is important that the photo presents the real you,the picture which shows the tipical you, also by the opinion of your loved ones.But in this case I like to see as many photos as possible, in order to get acquainted with the real look and to be able to reproduce it.


”Travelling” through time and space is an interesting task made possible by the art of painting. To make past times, places and persons reappear!


I am trying, using classical elements, to create something that is timeless. Painting in oils adds depth and breadth.

Apart from portraits of specific people, when I paint landscapes, scenes from life, still lifes, buildings etc., I like to include the personal memories, affections, precious moments, places and milestones from people’s lives.
