TERRITORY OF THE BENGAL TIGER
Bengal Tigers are mainly solitary and powerful predators and a member of the largest cat family, also known as the Royal Bengal Tiger, the most common subspecies of tigers found in the wild and mainly in my art images by applying my art technique that is completely beautifully represented by the many tactile shapes and creation of the many art-like details that can be seen and felt in my 3D mix medium art technique that is constructed from canvas glued to hardboard plate with wooden panel frame (dimensions height 30 inches x width 24 inches x thickness 1.5 inches), papier-mâché (recycled paper) and the colorfully painted acrylic portion, including the tiger fur pattern which is orange-brown to orange-yellow with vertical brown to black stripes breaking through the camouflaged body shape and in number differences, thickness and branches per person. The belly, cheeks and eyes are white.
The tiger's stripes help it to blend in with its surroundings and are like human fingerprints, so this stripe pattern can be used to distinguish tigers from each other like the 3D mix medium art technique to distinguish from today's 2D technique, and refers to the photorealistic, figurative feelings and love for Flora, fauna and landscapes in the nature/world and thus in my way to make a positive contribution to climate changes through art.
The quality of this self-designed art technique retains its value under all weather conditions.

Floris E. Betrouw is a Surinamese artist known for his self-designed art technique “Flocol Painting Art”, which started in 1982 and became known to the public in 2011.

His profession as a Mechanical Engineer in which he had worked for years at one of the largest companies at the time (Alcoa/Suralco), which meant that his hobby (art) received less attention.

But the innate gift never fades, until 2011 when his younger brother, who was familiar with those art gifts, advised him to participate in national art and handy-craft competitions, in which he participated in 2012, and all 3 won top prizes and was indirectly discovered by the former director of the Surinamese art academy, who personally guided him.

In 2014 he was allowed to participate for the first time in the National exhibition for the best artists and in the same year he was allowed to represent Suriname at the CARIFESTA (Caribbean Festival of Arts).

From 2015-2018 he participated in the Made in Suriname fair for the introduction of the 3D mixed medium art technique, which is all managed by him to date.

He followed the advice of many visitors to the Made in Suriname fair to take an international step with his art technique.

In June 2020 he participated in the international online art competitions, of which he has been appreciated eighteen (18) times to date.

Initially associated with his art technique “Flocol Painting Art”, namely painting with papier-mâché with formal elements with shape and depth points from these works, resulting in 3D visible radiant effects of which he is personally proud, because he was one of the first is who processes these new insights with this technique in such a way that the painter can accurately represent everything from reality (more vividly) compared to a flat painter's work.

His inspiration for painting art is to express the static representation of what you actually see and make it vivid with the right shapes and depths, establishing the rules that each painting requires.

To achieve the artwork process, he usually uses the following mediums; gluing canvas fabric to hardboard, plywood or cardboard paper based, drawing the subject and then soaking paper with water to form a mud mass, and applying it to the subject, allowing it to dry and then painting with your art insights of the element(s), which makes it look like it's looking at you or stepping out depending on the location.

Beautiful subjects from Flora and Fauna all come to life with contrasting and harmonious colors and bold compositions.

"Floris loves Flora and Fauna, and through his artistic insight he wants to reflect the visible in his art world, especially the Amazon.
