Sculpture made of ebony
My work process begins with a realistic model, then I stretch the planes to give more strength to the piece, and then distort the planes a little to catch the light. In the end the volume develops to have the most presence. Ebony gives all its density approaching marble. Is this a woman, an architecture? A sculpture is a presence in a space which must capture the light. Ebony with its intense black energizes the becoming points which shines and animates the sculpture.
This piece is sculpted in the mass without gluing.
