Espírito livre com mente aberta, assim me defino. Porém vivemos em País latino culturalmente com uma educação machista, com pré conceitos e tabus que são passados através da educação. Com o tempo, fui expurgando esse falsos valores que tanto me oprimiam, mas após os 50 anos, se ainda existia algum, foram incinerados junto com a escravidão do espelho e passei a me aceitar como sou.
Tranquei a artista numa gaveta aos 44 anos após meu divórcio, pois precisei buscar outros meios para manter minha família. Passado quase 7 anos, fui invadida pelo amor.
Vivenciei esse momento entre surpresas de descobertas, de autoconhecimento, pois, pasma comigo mesma, tive muitos atitudes que noutros momentos de minha vida jamais faria, não me reconhecia. Vivia uma adolescencia tardia?
Parei de me questionar e abraçei a vida e o que ela estava me oferecendo, um recomeço, deixei acontecer e aconteceu. Iniciou-se então, um período de descoberta e de redescoberta, de reflorescer de desabrochar. Após isso, o espelho mostrou uma mulher desconhecida para mim, a mulher que o espelho mostrava era linda, sensual, segura e sem grandes tabus, tranquila consigo mesma.
Uau... aquela mulher sou eu???
Retratei esse período que vivenciei nesse projeto, Sensualidade na maturidade, ainda vivencio (hoje com 58 anos). Trabalhei uma série de 40 pinturas com técnicas mistas, sendo a base principal os produtos que sempre me acompanharam, os pigmentos de ferro, de cobre e de alumínio minhas matérias base de trabalho, da mesma forma não podem faltar o carvão e a resina. Inseri em alguns trabalhos a pólvora queimada uma nova paixão que pretendo continuar e em todos os trabalhoss acrescento acrílica. São trabalhos únicos, que variam dos tamanhos de 20X20cm à 1.20cm largura, numeradas entre EB - 01 à EB - 40, onde expondo a sensualidade da mulher madura, com tranquilidade segurança e bem estar, por ter uma alma e um espírito livre.

Watching, absorbing and glimpsing the bright lights of this sky was the triggering action of all the poetics of my work. In them I express my experiences and researches, where lines, shapes, geometry, seams, textures and strong colors explode in each work, leaving traces of constructions and deconstructions, sanding, glazing, strong and calculated actions, where emotion of the moment surpasses the invisible. It is in this atmosphere of balance between the emotional and rational that I elaborate my work. Nature is my ally, in it I look for pigments, and, the threads and seams is a learning inherited from my childhood. I seek in the cosmos, in astronomy my guiding thread to dialogue with the spectator. The stars touch me, they call me to look around, to stop, to perceive, to feel, to hear, to discover that there is something more up here below, around us, inside us and in the other.

Talking about another artist's work without being a professional "critic" is a difficult task. The aesthetic values that I handle sometimes blur the vision of the real meaning that the artist has proposed, so I apologize, I dare to talk about the recent works of the artist Estela Brito. The recent works of the artist Estela Brito are going in the direction of the human figure basically female bodies, she has a photographic look on some parts that purposely detaches with a lot of sensuality and leaves to the viewer (connoisseur) the space of freedom thus it recreates of its way this mysterious area. The works drawings, paintings, have a good command of the technique and are of great sensitivity.
I have the impression that the artist is reunited with her own body now carved from within in full maturity and finds in it, in her, the joy of existing and the mystery of life.
