i start off with photographs taken by me or a friend, then i edit them, usually in paint shop pro and jasc animation shop. recently i"ve been experimenting with turning photographs into "drawn" or "painted" pictures, the media"s texture and colour, the texture of the paper it would be on, and the details and the shading of the actual picture. "pastela, a dream angel", "charcoal, a dark angel", and "sofya, a bridesmaid" are the most recent ones i"ve done. (side note: the gallery name "johnny photography" is after my laptop, whom i"ve affectionately named johnny after my idol johnny depp, on which i do all of my editing. ^_^)
