Ocarrillo
Otilia Carrillo (Ocarrillo) is a Mexican visual artist, introspective, analytical, creative and dreamy who speaks with the brush, she feeds on the events of our time and her work is influenced by the color that should prevail in our lives.
O Carrillo's work is in the contemporary surrealist style, in which he expresses his incessant search for the spiritual values of our society. That is why in his work we can see elements of contrast between the essential and the mundane, between speaking and silence, between black and white and between what we need to be happy and the limits we impose on ourselves to achieve it.
In his creative process he has explored different techniques, from digital art to utilitarian art. In his most recent proposal he presents the use of Encaustic as the main element of the work and not as an auxiliary material for it.
He has participated in seven solo exhibitions and more than sixty collective exhibitions at national and international level. Among his international collective exhibitions, the most notable are those held in Venice, New York, Italy, Punta del Este, Uruguay, Amsterdam, San Diego and Los Angeles. Within the national scope, the venues that stand out are: the Segob, the Chamber of Deputies, the Senate of the Republic, the Pavilion of the Mexican Republic in Los Cabos, the Ministry of Economy, the Cultural Center of Contemporary Mexico, the Watercolor Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Cultural Center of Mexico, "Zona Maco" among others.
Since 2013, she has joined the society of international artists who work with encaustic painting and received second place at the Museo del Carmen, “Honorable Mention” at the Salón de la Pintura awarded by the Galería Vértice and “Honorable Mention” at the Museo de la Acuarela in Toluca.
She currently resides in Mexico City where she continues taking different workshops and participating in various exhibitions.

Ocarrillo
Otilia Carrillo es una artista plástico mexicana, introspectiva, analítica, creativa y soñadora que habla con el pincel, se alimenta de los sucesos de nuestro tiempo y su obra está influenciada por el color que debiera imperar en nuestras vidas.
El trabajo de O Carrillo yace en el estilo surrealista contemporáneo, en el que a partir de su pensamiento expresa la incesante búsqueda de los valores espirituales de nuestra sociedad. Es por eso que en su obra se pueden advertir elementos del contraste entre lo esencial y lo mundano, entre hablar y callar, entre el blanco y el negro y entre lo que necesitamos para ser felices y los límites que nos imponemos para lograrlo.
En su proceso creativo ha incursionado en diferentes técnicas, desde el arte digital hasta el arte utilitario. En su más reciente propuesta presenta el uso del Encausto como elemento principal de la obra y no como material auxiliar de la misma.
Ha participado en siete exposiciones individuales y en más de sesenta exposiciones colectivas en el ámbito nacional e internacional. Entre sus exposiciones colectivas internacionales destacan las muestras realizadas en Venecia, Nueva York, Italia, Punta del Este Uruguay, Ámsterdam, San Diego y Los Ángeles y dentro del ámbito nacional las sedes que destacan son; La Segob, Cámara de Diputados, El Senado de la Republica, Pabellón de la Republica Mexicana en los Cabos, La Secretaria de Economía, El Centro Cultural de México Contemporáneo, El Museo de la Acuarela, El Museo de Arte Contemporáneo, El Centro Cultural Mexiquense, "Zona Maco" entre otras.
A partir del 2013 se incorpora a la sociedad de artistas internacionales que trabajan el encausto y recibe el segundo lugar en el Museo del Carmen, “Mención Honorífica” en el Salón de la Pintura otorgado por la Galería Vértice y “Mención Honorífica” en el Museo de la Acuarela en Toluca.
Actualmente reside en la Ciudad de México donde continúa tomando diferentes talleres y participando en diversas exposiciones.
