Original Artwork refers to any work that is considered authentic and not a copy or imitation of the original works of an artist. Original artwork can be any type of painting, sculpture, performance, or other media. There are many types of original media. Mixed media includes oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings. For workshop paintings that bear evidence of master craftsmanship, this attribution must be further qualified. While they may be less valuable for different reasons, reproductions and copies have had a tremendous impact on our experience. They reach a greater audience than originals and act as a tonic against commodification. Original Artwork could also refer to the first work, which is always preceding all others. It could also refer to a prototype or a model from which other works can be made. Each work bears great similarities to the original.

“Armonia prestabilita” è uno dei tre quadri che rientra nel ciclo delle “opere di ispirazione filosofica”.

L’idea di questo lavoro nasce dall’omonima teoria leibniziana, secondo la quale Dio, nel creare il mondo, ha fatto si che ad ogni azione corporea corrispondesse un evento psicologico. La formulazione di tale teoria nasce in un contesto storico nel quale le teorie cartesiane avevano portato alla luce un grande problema: quello del dualismo. Se la mente e il corpo sono due sostanze assolutamente indipendenti, come possono spiegarsi tutti quei fenomeni a noi così familiari? Ad esempio l’azione (meccanica) di fuga dietro una forte paura (evento psicologico), le lacrime che versiamo quando siamo tristi, e così via.

Leibniz per salvare il dualismo cartesiano, produce una teoria ad hoc: quella dell’armonia prestabilita. Non c’è vera connessione tra i fenomeni meccanici e quelli spirituali. Semplicemente Dio ha voluto che fosse così. Il quadro ovviamente è lontanamente ispirato a questa teoria.

La componente geometrica del dipinto rappresenta la sfera dei fenomeni meccanici (corporei), mentre la farfalla rappresenta la sfera di quelli spirituali (mentali). L’equilibrio leggero della composizione vuole dunque rappresentare proprio quest’armonia tra i due mondi.

Martina Purizzato was born in Gaeta (LT) on 07/11/1989. Among his earliest memories are pencils, pastel colors and the smell of paper. In fact, since early childhood, Martina has shown a strong sensitivity for drawing, thanks to the observation of her father, also a self-taught painter. His great passion is that of the representation of the human face and body - deriving from those very first experiments in which he copied Greek statues from school books. Without the possibility of following any art course, Martina's manual skills grow with her continuous dedication, which leads her to perfect the portrait technique and, on the other, the rise of curiosity towards new techniques and subjects. The versatility of the techniques, means of expression and subjects represented is what is most particular in Martina's work. Currently, he dedicates himself to oil painting, watercolor inks and the study of digital graphics - without ever abandoning his ancient passion. She has illustrated covers for novels and is co-founder of the Galleria Angoli di Colore, an artistic promotion association made up of artists who organize exhibitions and cultural events. She is currently completing her master's studies in Philosophy, a discipline which has certainly also favored her in her artistic production, as it has allowed her to acquire that ability to penetrate reality which finds expression in the features of her creations.
