About the author
Descendiente del pintor Enrique Simonet y del escultor Antonio Parera, ambos becados en Roma en el siglo XIX.
En 1983 comienza sus estudios en la Escuela de Cerámica de Madrid completando su formación con la asistencia a los cursos de la escultora Aurora Cañero y el ceramista Juan Manuel Llacher. Termina sus estudios en el año 1.988.
Durante los siguientes años se dedica exclusivamente a la cerámica creativa participando en diferentes exposiciones y muestras en España siendo las mas destacadas:

Debido a una lesión de espalda comienza su inmersión en el mundo de la pintura, investigando en el plano y el color, adentrándose en un mundo de nuevas sensaciones y formas de expresión. En este nuevo reto utiliza como fuente de inspiración algunos de los pilares fundamentales de su vida:
- La naturaleza, en donde vive y desarrolla su creatividad
- Sus constantes viajes a INDIA desde su infancia, que nutren a su obra de exóticos colores
- Su vinculación familiar y emocional a AFRICA que ha contagiado su obra con la pureza, las fuertes texturas del continente y los personajes que se mueven por todos estos espacios: miradas de mujeres, escenas de la vida cotidiana, animales y la armonía entre personas y naturaleza.
Como pintora ha participado en algunas exposiciones individuales y colectivas tanto en España como en algunos países de Europa (Paris, Utrech, La Haya y actualmente en Lyon):
