Karen Decoster, born September 14, 1968 in Paris, is a painter and photographer whose diverse career reflects a passion for visual creation in all its forms.
After a preparatory year at the Académie Julian “Meet de Penninghen” in 1987, Karen Decoster launched into textile graphics. She worked for the style office "Ici Paris" with Benetton as her main client from 1988. Her career took a freelance turn in 1989, where she collaborated with companies such as "Hémisphères" and "Renault". In 1990, she held the position of stylist assistant for "Yvan et Marzia", strengthening her experience in the world of design.
In 1991, Karen Decoster moved to Biarritz where she co-created the “Show You” graphic art workshop. This workshop becomes an important creative center for the creation of logos, textiles, POS (point-of-sale advertising), interior decoration and stand creation for brands such as Hoff, Rip Curl, Quiksilver, Gold Coast, Rusty and Rock Hair. His creativity is also expressed through artistic crafts, specializing in enamels on glass from 1995 to 2002.
Since January 2003, Karen has devoted herself mainly to painting. She continued her artistic training at Tanguy Samsun's workshop at the École des Beaux-Arts de Bayonne, where she refined her techniques and developed her personal style. His painting, influenced by his varied experiences, combines traditional techniques with a contemporary and daring vision.
Karen Decoster embodies a rich and multifaceted career, combining graphic expertise, artistic craftsmanship and painting. His work, nourished by diverse experiences, continues to evolve and enrich the artistic landscape with a unique sensitivity.
