The work is part of an exhibition made in 2011 under the pseudo José Alba, (jialba), whose title was: EX SYMBOLS

Models in their underwear lit by neon colors in the windows of the restaurant ArtiPasta Restogalerie in Brussels, this November 2011, sparked controversy. The artist José Alba, (jialba), denounces the commodification of the human being, his enslavement to the "silver god" made of gold and banknotes. The cult of the Golden Calf and Globalization. History repeats itself endlessly. But: "There are two stories: the official story, lying, and the secret story, where are the real causes of the events." Honoré de Balzac
The foundations of our society, democracy, is emptying its core. Have we sold our soul to the economy? Is there still a place for alternation, referendum and political vitality with the hope of influencing our future and that of our children?
The female characters in his paintings are, according to him, the metaphor of the human in loss of humanity. Loss of fundamental values to the point of slowly converting themselves into pure objects of consumption. The female bodies are tattooed with electronic circuits, jewels of soft and sensual technologies. These marks in their flesh seem indelible. This installation features humanity that has become a slave to its own desires.
The human body has become an ordinary business, another showcase, just "business".
The desire for possession is motivated by the need to secure one's future, which remains uncertain.
and the acceptance that everything in this world is traded, both the work of humans and humans themselves, as well as the acceptance that everything should always cost as little as possible and then be resold as expensive as possible, leaving behind half the humans that very few care about. Whatever the regime, the sacrifice of the poor is the engine of societies.

Continuous deindustrialisation, middle classes which are disappearing, purchasing power in free fall, relocations, unemployment, cpas, increase in pensions, inequalities (justice, income, capital ...) which are accentuated, etc.
And always the same policy, the same people, with the same elite for the same disaster (globalization, Europeanization, nomadism, individualism, multiculturalism, privatizations, liberalization .....) ...
"Politics is the art of preventing people from meddling in what concerns them" Paul Valéry
Bankxenetism Monetary prostitution Horn of importance Bankster
Financial prostitution engenders the same evils as sexual prostitution:
"Trafficking in human beings, drug addiction, poverty, violence, ..."

In these achievements, there is a journey between reality and spirituality where there is an alchemy of dreams that encourage us to reconnect with our soul.

Jialba, “José Ignacio Alvarez Baranga”
Born in Galicia, Spain 1961

Self-taught creator in perpetual learning, my research is akin to a quest for identity. To do this, I created a series of imaginary artists who question themselves and share their perceptions. Starting from these multiple “pseudos” born from my first and last names, I have divided my personality like a contemporary Osiris and each part seeks its complement to express its true nature.
These “pseudos”, will they end by meeting each other?
Will they give meaning to their creations?

My multidisciplinary experience takes me from pencil to paper, from tablet to screen, from brush to canvas, from book to writing and heart to work. Every day is a miracle that reveals to me the meaning of this quest for identity.
This journey is a game of expressions, a kind of alienation where the adversary is none other than oneself. Finally, I never stop expressing this being who emerges liberated by his inescapable need to believe as he breathes, convinced of being linked by everything and by everyone.

Digital works are a important part of this work. I assemble my paintings in progress with my photographic works and the result, coming from the unconscious, in multiple layers, is penetrated by a light then revealing the new composition.

A work conceals a multitude of other works, this is how the practice of painting, photography followed by computer graphics, allows me, like an x-ray, to extract the invisible layers. I do not use what we call “artificial intelligence”, I want to preserve this natural intelligence which ensures my conscious use of digital, as a tool of expression throughout the creative process.

In these creations, I love the moment of the journey between reality and spirituality, where dreams are born that encourage encounters with the Soul of the world.
