Advertising forms so much part of our daily lives, infringes on it, in a good or bad way, but a reality we have to accept.
One of 10 in the series Storyboards this painting highlights the problem of your partner leaving you and you need to have sex. Phone sex is an option, call the safe and satisfied line, choose a girl or boy from the selection on offer, and pay with visa or American express. Problem solved, no contact, no possibility of contracting anything that could harm your health feel safe and Satisfied. This painting is one of those fantasy adverts that explore the problem solving aspect of advertising.Like all the storyboards this one repeats the story. There is a problem, a product is presented and problem solved.

Presented in storyboard form as I spent most of my life directing TV commercials so it is a natural crossover for myself to the canvas.

Story Board Series was painted in 2000 and the series consisted of 10 works.

Storyboard: ~(Verb) a series of events drawn / painted / designed within a sequence of frames in varying styles depicting the plot / story of a film / commercial / Television series / work of art (pl.) –s

Frames outline surrounding drawing / painting / design usually black, used to depict the frame of a TV screen or cinema screen. The formats usually encountered for the screens were 3:4 for TV ( now 16:9) and 1:1.85 for cinema. The number of screens or frames per storyboard is left entirely to the discretion of the storyboard artist.

The drawing / painting / designs inside the frame can be done in either black & white or in color, differing in style as long as the concept of the story is clearly depicted.

The style should enhance the actual story told, giving it character and taking it to another dimension for the viewer of the drawing / painting / design.
