A desperate man sitting alone at a roadside diner. On the table is a mug of black coffee and a pack of cigarettes called MUERTE. The man appears desperate with his hands covering his eyes as if he has received bad news. Behind the Venetian blind, outside the diner is a young woman staring straight at him. Is he ill, going to die because of his bad habits, one can only speculate. The well-positioned pack of cigarettes called Muerte (Death) with no smoking cigarette in an ashtray, no keys to a car, does he live there?
Filled with questions this haunting painting makes one reflect life and choices we make.

Graduated and started his career working for his mentor, Hans Potgieter, South African Kinetic Artist for nearly a year, until a job as Art Director in a local feature film became available. Three months later joined the SABC TV and did a BBC TV training course for 9 months, learning all aspects of television, cameras, sound, editing.
