Biography
Daniel Moline is a contemporary Belgian painter. Moline is a painter of large compositions, with imposing figures in a strongly graphic style, from which energy, vitality and a certain violence emerge. Expressing both tenderness and cruelty, their violence is always accompanied by a discrete tenderness and benevolence as restraint towards life. There are common features with the calligraphy of Zen monks and the work of the Japanese painter Shôhaku.
Since 1990, he’s been working on large abstract compositions in black ink on white backgrounds, "Gutta", sets of stains and various traces from which the observer will construct the meaning that suits him or that pleases him. He is currently working (since 2010) on large portraits in amber on black backgrounds, distressed memories of Japan or dark creatures encountered after his return to Belgium.
Daniel Moline was born in 1948, in Belgium. He participated in various exhibitions nationally and in Japan, where he spent sixteen years.

La Boîte de Pandore, une exposition remarquable, est à découvrir à partir du 6 septembre au château de Waroux à Alleur. Au plaisir de vous y rencontrer au vernissage ou un autre jour. Cet événement réunit plus de 54 artistes contemporains internationaux qui ont exploré la thématique de la légende de Pandore avec brio.

La cinquième édition de cette exposition incontournable se tiendra jusqu’au au dimanche 27 octobre. J’y expose un portrait d’Otomè Efira, mon modèle japonais préféré de 1975 à 2015.
