Une fois de plus, après une semaine de pluie intermittente, j'ai pu sortir chaque jour pour me promener à la campagne. Au cours de cette semaine pluvieuse, une nuit avait été le témoin d’une tempête de tonnerre assez violente. Nous avons tous entendu une telle explosion, mais nous ne pouvions pas savoir dans quelle direction. C’était alors quand j’étais là-bas, au milieu d’un grand champ qui servait principalement de pâturage vert pour les vaches mais heureusement à cause des pluies le fermier avait fait entrer les vaches parce que la nuit précédente il y avait eu un violent orage et un éclair était tombé sur cet arbre isolé ou normalement toutes les vaches se rassemblaient le soir. Donc l’inspiration pour cette estampe de nouveau media et chine collé.

His work is mainly inspired by his walks in the countryside and the sensations or feelings he experiences while doing them, and which he tries to share with the spectators of his works.
Richard Raveen Chester was born in 1954 in India. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication from Delhi University School of Art in 1976. He currently lives and works in Angers (France).
