David Heger
David Heger is a photographer who gets his inspiration from his time working as a second cameraman at a puppet animation studio under the supervision of Miloslav Spala, the famed Jan Svankmajer's cameraman. The beauty of the Czech environment, as well as the works of Frantiek Drtikol and Jan Saudek, have affected his work.
He is able to evoke a pleasant sense of nostalgia in his photos, which would not be the case if the color was not muted. He also employs color muting to produce a more atmospheric sense, and the exaggerated colors and clouds in the sky in this image contribute significantly to the idealistic tone.
David lives in a little village near Prague, Czech Republic, with his wife and two children, among gorgeous hills land. He is an artist who is self-taught. For his art, he has garnered numerous accolades (Best of the Best award Hiii Photography International Competition in 2013, East West Art Award, London, 1st place in 2019...)

Wet Plate Collodion - Ambrotype • 3 artworks
View allThe process begins with a sheet of glass coated with a sticky substance called collodion. The plate is then immersed in a silver nitrate solution, which makes it sensitive to light. The plate is then exposed to light with a camera, creating a negative image on the plate. The plate is then developed, fixed, and rinsed to create a positive image that appears as a unique, one-of-a-kind photograph on glass.
Ambrotypes were a popular form of portraiture in the mid-19th century and are now considered a rare and collectible art form. They are known for their unique, one-of-a-kind beauty and their ability to capture intricate details and textures that other photographic processes cannot.
Alternative Photography • 9 artworks
View allPhotography prints made by unique historic photography process Resinotype. Very original look and 3-dimensional effect.
Basic principle of this rare alternative photography process is based on ability of gelatin (when sensitized by kalcium dichromate or the other sensitizer and exposed to UV light) to selectively absorb pigment according to how much was exposed to UV light.
Recent time I am experimenting with metallic image background (silver and gold) and different pigment colors.
