Dorienne always says, "My art is from my imagination, a world of possibility where anything can exist". A world of Characters, their stories will speak to the inner child in you. Whimsical characters that bring a smile. An imaginary world in which I create fun artwork that is colorful and intricate in detail. Her specialty is the ability to handmade figurative quirky portraits from photos; you can be in my world anything you want in a small form. All I need is front-facing photographs of over 1 MB.

Working with clay and wire or any other material necessary, artist Dorienne Carmel creates her 3D quirky expressive ceramic characters in her Hertfordshire studio. 

She is forever exploring life in all forms with added humor. 

Dorienne asks the viewer to connect with and create their story around each piece. 

Much of her inspiration comes from a lifelong fascination with stories from childhood. 

She loves watching people about their daily tasks studying facial expressions brings inspiration to her figures.
