Liz Benitez de la Llera is a contemporary Cuban artist based in Spain. She has cultivated her artistic prowess through a diverse and extensive training journey. From 2005 to 2009, she delved into Plastic Arts at the School of Arts Instructors, establishing a solid foundation for her creative endeavors. Subsequently, between 2016 and 2018, Liz honed her skills in Photography and Video at the School of Creative Photography in Havana.

Her dynamic training as both an artist and communicator has positioned Liz at the intersection of various creative realms. This multifaceted approach has enabled her to participate in numerous events, contributing to her growth as an artist and shaping the distinct vision she embodies today. Noteworthy among these international events are the 2017 HavanaPhotoStreet, the 2018 CUBADISCO Music Festival, the 2018 Festival Jazz Plaza in Cuba, and the 2019 XXI Festival Habano.

Liz's artistic journey extends beyond educational pursuits and event participation. Her work has been featured in exhibitions and events across the Americas and Europe, showcasing her evolving artistic voice. Notable exhibitions include "Hidden treasures" in Cuba (2017), "Identity" in both Cuba (2018) and the Czech Republic (2018), as well as international showcases in Schaan, Liechtenstein (November 2022), Zürich, Switzerland (February 2023 at GZ Oerlikon, March/April 2023 at GZ Loogarten, and June 2023 at Artboxy), and a forthcoming exhibition at the Human Rights Council in Liechtenstein scheduled for November 2023.
