Quadro originale eseguito a pastello morbido su carta di 360 g di ottima qualita'. Il soggetto riprende Villa Torlonia a S.Mauro Pascoli in Romagna nel centro nord Italia, che nell'800 fu dimora del famoso poeta Giovanni Pascoli .La vista e' dalla strada che fiancheggia il fiume Uso da dove in primavera si puo' ammirare la fioritura che ricopre il parco. Le foto addizionali mostrano il quadro esposto in vetrina, appeso al muro col passepartout ; i particolari ravvicinati . Firmato e datato. Ottime condizioni.

Painting Pastel

Pastel is an instrument widely used in plastic arts. Taking the form of a colored plastic stick, it is composed of pigments, a filler (chalk or plaster) and a binder (gum arabic, oil, wax). We mainly distinguish fatty pastels (oil or wax), dry pastels, whether soft or hard. Invented in Europe at the end of the 15th century, this tool was very quickly used by great portrait painters of French royalty, such as Charles Le Brun, Rosalba Carriera, Jean Siméon Chardin or Maurice Quentin de La Tour, who will be considered the "Prince of pastellists", thanks to a method of fixation of which only he knew the secret.

Pastel

Drawing made with a colored stick. It consists of pigments, a charge and a binder. A distinction is made between dry pastels (soft or hard) and fatty pastels (oil or wax).

Technic Painting

I am an artist painter that has completed his studies at Academy of Fine Arts in Ravenna ,Italy, obtaining painting Degree in 1987. Academy classes gave me the opportunity to improve drawing and most of all the use of colors and how to mix it. After school I started to improve painting experience working outdoor and studying the lights and colors directly in front of landscapes . In 2002 I migrated to United States; In America I started a professional freelance activity of indoor wall painting doing trompe l'oeil, and landscapes to beautify different kind of places public and private first in Washington D.C. area , and then in New York city ; meantime I have been working on canvases and make some exhibitions in galleries. back in Italy in 2012 i start to fully work doing painting on canvas and paper although sometimes I still doing murals for interior places . I'm trying always to experiment new techniques so after oil on canvas, acrylic , soft pastels and watercolor on paper , I started to use Inks on canvas; latest artworks I did in the past 12 months are made by this new technique.
