I have a background in both mathematics and music. I studied music from the age of 7 including 3 years at the Peabody Conservatory of Music. I studied mathematics at Johns Hopkins University.
I've always had a creative spirit that has led me to write original music, develop new products, and finally create digital artwork.
I live in a farmhouse in the country with beautiful vistas and cats. Both were among my favorite subjects to try to capture their beauty.
Not content with just shooting photos I developed techniques for incorporating digital art into my work creating images that aren't quite paintings or photos but something in between.

Abstract series of prints based on the dancing notes concept. Fractal background, hand drawn notes that were photographed and digitally enhanced, overlayed by the score to Peter and the Wolf.
The image is the result of several fractals that have either been duplicated several times and blended to form a seamless object or enhanced to represent a single entity. The flame that glows within the soul is a single fractal, while the spirit and spirit tail are multiple fractals blended.
I use fractals because of the unique shapes and colors they create. Fractals become my palette much in the same way a painter mixes paint on a traditional palette.
