Cr3ativity
Hi there. My name is Yevgeny and I am a student artist/ volunteering Visual Arts student teacher. My life is heavily affected by Fine Arts. Being a second year university student, I have taken sculpture, painting, drawing, art history, geography, history, and fine arts cultural studies to refine my skills and update my knowledge in and outside of the Fine Arts Faculty. Simultaneously, I am volunteering as a student teacher in the Visual Arts department at my old high school, Newtonbrook . Juggling my agenda is not easy, but somehow I enjoy the challenge. I particularly enjoy coming in once or twice a week to teach and help students studying Interior Design, Visual Arts, Fashion (not my interest), and Mural Design because not only do I learn something new from my teachers' and students' on each occasion that I visit, but I also get inspired by them. Lastly, some artist's have philosophies, but I have my own original quote: "Imprisoned in Colours". With every colour of the spectrum surrounding me everywhere I go, day-in and day-out, I am slowly becoming aware how colours cooperate in the real world, not on a colour-wheel. As my art journey continues, I welcome you to join and share your experiences.

Awards? Yes!
I was awarded once in my ENTIRE life for outstanding dedication in Visual Arts and Interior Design during my final year at Newtonbrook Secondary School (Gr. 12). Frankly, I never expected that medallion. Though, when I look back and I realize just how much I contributed to the Visual Arts Department it all begins to connect. Come to think of it, where did I put that medallion...?
Interior Design Show 2010 and my struggles!
I have been waiting two years now just to try again. It all started in Gr.12 Interior Design when our teacher assigned a light fixture assignment. I struggled, but eventually I came up with a chandelier made of a specific material, which I will not disclose in this journal so as to not spoil your experience, shall I get into the IDS 2010 and you decide to pay a visit. My Interior Design teacher stressed that I should have the chandelier exhibited at IDS. At that time (2008), renting space for four days to exhibit my artwork was far beyond my budget. This year, I have decide to look for sponsors and use some of the money I made from the paintings I sold in the past few months. Not much revenue to be honest, but that is not stopping me this year. This year, I have decided to go from partially colossal sized chandelier to extremely colossal sized chandelier. The over all design will change as well. Basically, I want my visitors to have a very unique experience with my work, but how do I do that? Stay tuned as I continue to update my progress. This project may just never take off.
Auctioning off my paintings.
Several months ago, I decided to auction off two of my most valuable paintings. Not because I want to be famous or rich, but rather because I want to help raise money for Sick Kids' Hospital. After dozens of e-mails and phone calls I was finally accepted. Apparently, Sick Kids' Hospital does not accept paintings unless the artist specifically purchases non-allergenic paint and creates murals in the hospital. I on the other hand, was volunteering at that time, did not have any extra money to spend on special paint, and did not have any extra time for mural making. So, they offered to auction off the two paintings. Perfect! When does the auction start? November 18, 2009. NOVEMBER?! This meant patience. I tried and tried to have the paintings sold on various handmade websites but all the competition prevented me from doing so. It is now October and I must admit that time flies by. Now all I have to worry about is whether the paintings will sell or not. It all depends on the crowd really. Generally, older crowds prefer traditional art and younger ones prefer more modern ones. If you would like more detailed information about the two paintings and the whereabouts of the auction please contact me. I will be more than happy to go over every detail.
