Claire-Marie Magen, multidisciplinary artist, has followed a diverse artistic path marked by a passion for expression through painting and photography. Her artistic journey is influenced by her dual career as a visual artist and actress, which has guided her towards unique creative explorations.
Initially, Claire-Marie devoted herself to free figuration, using acrylic as a means of expression to represent the body in movement, crossed by a complex palette of emotions. His paintings embody the fusion of movement, expression and emotional force, resulting from a profound exploration of the human condition.
More recently, his artistic work has focused on two distinct lines of research, under the influence of the marine element. On the one hand, she explores free abstraction by combining acrylic, collage and printing on paper. His creations evoke mineral elements, water and air, creating a visual universe where shapes and colors blend, mingle and transform to represent nature in perpetual movement.
On the other hand, Claire-Marie Magen explores the ancient technique of cyanotype, an alternative photography method. She uses this technique to create floating figures by incorporating seaweed washed up by the tides, or to compose abstract landscapes outdoors from elements found on the beach. In this approach, the trace of the artistic gesture is crucial to capture the movement of water and air and to express a constantly evolving inner state.
Claire-Marie Magen celebrates the changing and living force of nature that surrounds us and which constitutes an inexhaustible source of inspiration for her artistic work. His creations are an invitation to explore the complexity of movement, transformation and emotion, in a constant dialogue between the artist and nature.
