Born in England to Scottish parents, I grew up in Ireland and have lived most of my adult life in Amsterdam. I am interested in systems, boundaries and near-repetition. The painting that has most influenced me is post-impressionism & expressionism. 

Having not painted anything since childhood, I was inspired to start again by Dutch artist Armando's work, which shimmers with power and rage.

Although I am an amateur, a hobbyist, I take my art seriously and seek to improve every time I work.
