This came to me in a dream of a woman observing the shore in a contemplative gaze. Her coat and hat are from a different era when it seems we took more time out for ourselves.  It is unclear what this female figure is thinking about but her stillness has her in an intense state of contemplation.

I am a lover of nature, constantly inspired by what I see.  Whether with my floral compositions, landscapes, or abstracts, I transpose my perceptions of the beautiful colors, shapes, and movements that nature shares with us onto the canvas extending beyond the mere visual interpretation. 

I never sketch out my work beforehand. I pick up my brush and work directly from my memory. My current work is mostly acrylic on canvases. All of the pieces can be printed on paper, wood, acrylic, metal, or the original of course. 

I work with a variety of different media such as acrylic, pastel, collage, and oil. I spent over 35 years in Manhattan and moved back to my birth country of Switzerland 10 years ago. My works are in a variety of museums, private and public art collections, storefronts like Saks Fifth Avenue in New York, and have shown in many galleries in Europe and the US.
