Le travail sur la toile originale (Cernunnos) ne me satisfaisant pas, j’ai décidé de la repeindre entièrement en noir, en conservant les reliefs déjà existants et en ajoutant d’autres formes avec du gesso. Le tout a ensuite été doré avec une pierre ponce afin d’abraser légèrement les aspérités trop saillantes.
Qui dit nouvelle toile dit nouveau[...]
Le travail sur la toile originale (Cernunnos) ne me satisfaisant pas, j’ai décidé de la repeindre entièrement en noir, en conservant les reliefs déjà existants et en ajoutant d’autres formes avec du gesso. Le tout a ensuite été doré avec une pierre ponce afin d’abraser légèrement les aspérités trop saillantes.
Qui dit nouvelle toile dit nouveau nom. Pan, en tant que dieu de la nature, était un nom de choix. Et ce d’autant plus que son caractère mortel peut être interprété comme une représentation du cycle des saisons, et du passage de la belle saison à l'automne puis à l'hiver, ce qui rapproche Pan du Cernunnos d’origine.

Born in Lille (France) in 1959, I have lived and worked in Dordogne for several decades now. As a home nurse, my creations are episodic, sometimes spaced between long periods of silence, but they have the common trait of very often being an outlet therapy. In January 2022, I retired and fell into severe depression. I then embark on a pictorial adventure which allows me to appeal to what resistance remains in me. Marginality attracted me very early on since it was based on an aesthetic and insolent, even provocative, approach. As a self-taught painter, my work is characterized more by a lack of knowledge of codes than by their rejection. In my artistic burst, I rebuilt myself there by searching for the own life of my paintings to try to find my “soul” there and then go, beyond my own identity, to meet you.
