Brigitte Lovisa est diplômée de l'École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d'Art (ENSAAMA) Olivier de Serres - Paris.
Elle se spécialise dans l'art mural, notamment le vitrail qu'elle pratique pendant quatorze ans. Elle effectue de nombreuses restaurations et commandes officielles dans le cadre de l'Atelier Sylvie Gaudin jusqu'en 1996. Elle restaure entre autres les vitraux de la Cathédrale de Sens.
De 1997 à 2007, elle se consacre à l'éducation de ses enfants sans jamais cesser de peindre. Inscrite à la Maison des Artistes en 2009, elle enchaîne les expositions à travers la France et à l'international (Paris, Lyon, Toulouse, Reims, Bordeaux, Hossegor, New York, Istanbul, San Francisco, Philadelphie, Amsterdam, Cologne…)
Elle voyage dans différents univers avec une boulimie productive, alternant personnages et villes sur bois ou sur toile de lin. Son travail sur New York reflète l'énergie et la frénésie de la société de consommation. Elle travaille en mêlant acrylique, collages et recyclage de canettes de soda et boîtes de conserve clouées sur bois dans une ambiance speedée de "cartoons".
Brigitte Lovisa s'inspire de la Figuration Libre et on retrouve dans ses œuvres l'influence d'artistes très "urbains", tels qu'Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Basquiat, Alechinsky et Combas. On voit qu'elle s'amuse et son plaisir est contagieux.
