Boris Barbey was born in 1966 in Cherbourg in the Cotentin (France). Free artist since the 80s, he practices photography, art drawing, painting. After studying in these three fields, he spends his life in perpetual creation, in research, constantly in research. How to make photo and graphic design vibrate together in deep harmony? The discovery of the cyanotype technique, whose blue color is the dominant of this adventure on thick watercolor paper, corresponds perfectly to the inspirations of the artist. He intervenes on his images by integrating mixed techniques: pencils, paints etc... There emerges from his works a certain poetry, a desire to know a little more about this blue color which remains the obsession of the artist. freely.
Boris Barbey is a graduate of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts Cherbourg and the school of photography in Orthez (France).
