"Benny The Kid is an artist representative of this generation for whom the city is synonymous with a field of experimentation and limitless creation. Strongly influenced by Street Art and urban culture, he first favors work with spray and felt Posca before pushing his plastic thinking further which led him, in 2009, to abandon the practice of pure graffiti for the stencil technique.
Nourished by current events and the world of information in general, his works are "speakers" which underline, denounce or simply highlight, sometimes with humour, the world which surrounds us, with its specificities as well as its deviations. This importance given to transmission, notably through the delivery of a message, is a concept dear to the artist, inspired by strong and committed personalities such as Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Basquiat and Warhol to name but a few.
Plastic hybridization is also an element at the center of his work. Through the production of works that he calls "mixmedia" and which consists of the use of spray paint mixed with acrylic or watercolor, and the recovery of used materials (wooden pallets, metal, old vinyl, cardboard etc.) that he reuses in his compositions, the artist works his works like fragments of reality that he reinterprets in his own way.
The world of Benny The Kid is a colorful universe where genres are not compartmentalised, where no subject is taboo, in order to allow everyone to reflect on their own convictions, beliefs and commitments."
