Acrylic painting on poplar wood panel.

Story about painting:
"Daily subway travel to and from work. Often tired and exhausted. A head full of worries, thoughts, plans, our brains work at full speed all day ...
For many, just those moments on the subway, train or bus mean a rare time when we can turn off, do nothing. You can just dream or take a nap ... The answers to our questions may come when we are not thinking. Solutions appear most often in peace, tranquility, harmony. "

Zsombor Barakonyi is a contemporary Hungarian painter. His unique visual language offers viewers new levels of perceiving reality, in which, by overwriting conventional approaches, he builds a dialectic relationship between content and objectuality.

Barakonyi‘s works are postmodern panel paintings depicting visions of metropolitan flâneur. The depicted scene is always a snapshot, capturing a moment in the urban hubbub and commotion, which reveals itself through a model of perception whose anchoring points have been shifted into a new balance.

Zsombor Barakonyi was born in 1972, in Budapest, Hungary. After graduating from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts and also earning a Doctor of Liberal Arts degree there, Barakonyi went on to win numerous awards and prizes.
