Anita Menon
i started drawing before i learnt my ABCs. my parents were the most encouraging of them all. i took up art seriously after getting married. my husband and son has learnt to live with my weird ways........ they are very flexible when it comes to bedtimes and mealtimes...they are self sufficient people who doesn't expect the wife or mother to do the cooking and cleaning all by herself!

life is wonderful
that's how i feel...however depressed i get, the thought of the possibility of a 'better tomorrow' keeps me going. i have also retained my sense of wonder and awe to view things that life throws in my face.
i guess that's what has driven me to continue with the art.
sketching
whatever medium i choose to work with, i eventually end up with pencils. the feel of pencil on paper is more sensuous to me than anything else in this world. the intricacy of the details is my way of paying homage to the subject i choose.
