Born in Potosí-Bolivia on December 23, 1954, he is the third of seven siblings, son of Constantino Arias Toro and Maritza Morales Mosquera. He studied at the San Agustín School in Cochabamba, then he entered the San Andrés University in the city of La Paz in the Civil Engineering career and then for work reasons he changed to Economics at the Technical University of Oruro “UTO”, a career that He did not finish to dedicate himself to art.
He began painting classical and realism, but he soon realized that this type of painting had been developing for centuries, so he made the leap to neofigurativism, abstractism, expressionism and surrealism.
At the age of 21 he participated in the VII National Hall of Plastic Arts Competition, Oruro- Bolivia; From then on, he began a fruitful career as a painter, participating in various individual and group exhibitions, as well as in various salons and painting competitions in his native Bolivia.
Eager to see the world and with his dreams in tow, he decides to seek new horizons in other Latin American countries; In the company of the painter Ricardo Rocha Guzmán left Bolivia for Peru at the beginning of 1986, here he would meet the renowned Peruvian sculptor Víctor Delfín, from whom they would receive important advice and teachings about art in his palace-workshop in the Barranco area of ​​Lima, and Also knowing that they would continue their trip to Ecuador, he recommended his colleague and friend Oswaldo Guayasamín.
That same year they arrived in Ecuador where they would meet the teacher Oswaldo Guayasamín, who would open the doors of his workshop to them and from whom they would learn some keys to universal art, serving as a contact to open some doors in the artistic environment of Ecuador. For his part, he would remain in this country until 1988, dedicating himself completely to painting. Here he would meet a local woman with whom he had a daughter.
Continuing with his journey in search of new pictorial sensations and to enrich his artistic knowledge, he traveled to Colombia in mid-1988, where he would continue his artistic work, acquiring prestige and recognition, which would be decisive for him to stay in this country for sixteen years until year 2003, having his workshop in the city of Medellín and exhibiting in Cali, Bogotá, Cartagena de Indias, among other cities.
In this period, at the beginning of 1993, he traveled to Costa Rica where he stayed for a year, painting and promoting his work. Here his painting would be admired and valued, obtaining recognition as an artist. His second child was born in this country, the result of his marriage to a Colombian citizen.
In 2001 he traveled to Panama carrying his work, exhibiting at the Signos Gallery. He stayed there for two months, which helped him establish contacts with people dedicated to art and the possibility of opening new spaces for his painting.
