A Saint-Clair-sur-Epte j'avais donc commencée mes sculptures géantes de tubes de peintures, car donc avait d'abords étudiée les départs de L'impressionnisme en nos Îles-de-France et Normandie (car cette ville est au carrefour de ces régions) grâce donc à la création des tubes de peintures en métal le 1841.
L'invention des tubes de peinture grâce à une nouvelle invention, les tubes de peinture en métal, tout préparés et faciles à transporter, qui remplacent l'ancienne peinture, préparée à la main à partir d'huile et de poudres colorées, ils peuvent quitter leurs ateliers pour travailler « sur le motif », en plein air.
