Nasci a 6 de Fevereiro em Mangualde no ano de 1964. Licenciei-me em Historia/Arqueologia e tenho obras publicadas nesta área. A minha preferência é a arqueologia romana e medieval. Actualmente estou a fazer o Mestrado em Gestão e Programação do Património Cultural, Universidade de Coimbra.
Professor na Universidade Sénior de Mangualde da Cadeira de Património Cultural.
Director do Jornal Renascimento, quinzenário de Mangualde.

A música sempre esteve presente: toco guitarra clássica num grupo de Fados de Coimbra e de Lisboa. Pese embora tenha sido o fado de Coimbra (devido aos tempos de estudante) que me trouxe a este estilo musical, é no fado de Lisboa que encontro maior satisfação.
Fui guitarrista e vocalista no Grupo Musical "Irmãos Abrantes", uma banda de baile, de imenso sucesso nos anos 70-80.
Fui guitarrista e vocalista no "Duo do Colete".
Acabei com o grupo "Trio Só Falta a Mãe", onde actuava com as duas filhas.
Amante de Jazz, Blues e variantes destes. A musica Pop, da boa. No fado Amália, Camané, Mísisa, e mais alguns(mas).

Amante das motas. Membro do Clube Motard "Os Azuraras" de Mangualde.

A Arte pictórica e escultórica é a minha grande paixão. A arte que mais me toca é a Arte Moderna: Cubismo, Impressionismo, fauvismo, expressionismo, surrealismo e também o neo-realismo.
Picasso, Dali, Van Gogh, Hopper, Cézane, Amadeo Sousa Cardoso, Columbano Bordalo Pinheiro, Almada Negreiros, Paula Rego, Cesariny, Trigueiro, Luís Queimadela, Angelo Marques, Carlos Pereira, António Ferreira, Sérgio Amaral, Paula Parracho, Isaura Figueiredo, Rui Costa, entre vários e vários são os meus preferidos. Nos clássicos: Velasquez...Hieronimus Bosh.

Para quem não me conhece ficou a saber alguam coisa, para quem me conhece sabe que isto são apenas algumas paixões...quanto à essência, nem eu próprio me conheço por completo.
