Walking along the streets of Padua, lights, shadows and colors above all, took me by the hand, giving me company during cold winter days, showing me that sometimes images can crack, break, explode, fall into pieces or curl under their overpowering strength.
"pola" as Polaroid: all of these photos start with an instant film print, the only medium that allows me such a straight and radical approach to photographic images.
"cracking" as rupture, but also an obvious reference to the world of computers: the electronic elaboration enhances the chemical image and completes it in a necessary way. Like the path proposed in this exhibition, also the images themselves are signs of a journey that starts in the physical reality, walk through virtual reality and sinks again into the real world.
