Der Künstler Studierter Malerei an der Kunstakademie in Leipzig, Skulptur an der Kunstakademie in Halle (Burg Giebichenstein) und Architektur am Bauhaus Dessau.
Nach zunächst freiberuflicher Arbeit in Deutschland folgte eine mehrjährige Gastprofessur an der University of the Philippines.
Heute arbeitet der Künstler freiberuflich in Weimar.
Loeschner-Gornau erhielt zahlreiche nationale und Internationale Preis und wurde in allen weltweit wichtigen Kunstzeitschriften besprochen. Er hatte sehr viele Einzelausstellungen weltweit und ist in namhaften Kunstsammlungen vertreten.
